SUSTENANCE SCIENTISTS

a group for food explorers

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this for?

Sustenance scientists is for kids between the ages of 7 and 12. In order to be a good fit for this group, your child must be able to follow directions, participate in group activities, and remain seated at the table for at least 10-15 minutes.

My child has food allergies. Can they still participate?

Yes! When you sign up for a sustenance scientists event, you will be asked for a list of your child’s allergies. We make sure that all of our events use ingredients and foods that are allergy-friendly.

Does my child have to be in feeding therapy at AID-L to participate?

No! This group is open to both AID-L children and the community. However, if you child has medical diagnoses that make swallowing unsafe for them, we ask that you contact us ahead of time to see if this is something that we can accommodate.

Where do we meet for Sustanence Scientists?

We will meet at the AID-L clinic.
