Community Programs

At AID-L, we understand that a child’s family and support system play a vital role in their ability to thrive. For this reason, AID-L hosts events and programming for both a child with various needs and their families.

  • Respite Care

Social Saturdays began around the holiday season as a way to provide parents with time to prepare for family gatherings. The response was overwhelming and with the support of dedicated volunteers, we strive to offer Social Saturdays on a semi-regular schedule.

  • Inclusive Events

AID-L enjoys hosting themed and inclusive events for the Community. Previous events have included: Trunk or Treat, Sensory Santa, Summer Block Party, Outdoor Movie Night, and more!

  • Educational Opportunities

AID-L consistently looks for ways to equip caregivers with the resources they desire. Most recently we held a Caregiver Support Workshop and guided Parent Coffee Chats. If you have ideas for our next workshop, email Nicole Snoad at nicole.snoad@aid-l.org

  • Club SMILE

Club SMILE is a group for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities focusing on providing skilled therapy services paired with functional activities to target language skills, independent life skills, and social skills.

  • Sustenance Scientists
