AID-L Board

About the Board:

Our board currently consists of a working board and an advisory board. We currently have 9 board members serving our organization. Board meetings occur at a minimum of four times a year, with additional meetings as necessary.

  • Working board members contribute to our organization by donating and volunteering their time to the organization. Working board members are expected to attend at least two AID-L events per calendar year. They will be asked to join one of the following committees: Fundraising, Community Events, Governance Committee, or School Committee. 

    • The Fundraising committee will assist with and lead fundraising events for AID-L. 

    • The Community events committee will assist with planning and running non-revenue generating events for the community such as respite care, holiday events, parent seminars etc. 

    • The Governance committee will be responsible for maintaining the transparency of the organization, following bylaws and organization policies. 

    • The School Committee is dedicated to finding alternative schooling options for special needs families of the Upstate.

  • The Advisory Board contributes to our organization by giving their valuable insight and advice to the company as well through financial means. Advisory Board members are not expected to attend a specific number of AID-L events; however, attendance is always encouraged. The advisory board does not have voting rights.

Executive Board Roles:

  • Chairman/President: Will be responsible for supervising and controlling all meetings, making meeting agenda, signing deeds/mortgages/bonds/contracts etc, will be the face of organization

  • Co-Chair: Will assisting Chairman when needed, taking over responsibilities of Chairman when Chairman is unable, tracking attendance at meeting

  • Secretary: Will be responsible for taking meeting minutes and storing/publishing them for easy access

  • Treasurer: Will be responsible for all organization finances (creating PNL statement, assisting with creation of clinic yearly budget etc)
